Cortado, meaning "cut" in Spanish, is a popular coffee variety in Portugal and Spain, typically served in a glass. It consists of an espresso mixed with nearly equal parts of hot milk, resulting in a light taste that still preserves the rich coffee flavor.
Unlike a latte or cappuccino, a cortado does not have milk foam, making it similar to the French café au lait but with a stronger espresso base.
